As the senior content editor, I was a go-to resource for several writers who sought the latest dope on what’s what. Myriad documents had been disseminated over the previous months — stored in various Dropbox folders that could be easily forgotten about or hard to find — and writers had difficulty finding answers to their questions.
It became clear to me that we needed a central resource that spelled out the scope of editorial subjects in our purview and, even better, point writers to the latest editorial guidelines that mattered to us.
I created the Editorial Style Guide for Discover to address this problem. The landing page that I wrote and designed using Adobe Express appears below. Each “Read more” button linked to a page written in Dropbox Paper, which summarized and explained each topic in greater detail and provided links to specific PDF documents.
